Rude Awakening
After many years of wondering I am 99% certain I have found the location used for Lower Moat Manor. I've got to go and take a good look to be absolutely sure but from the aerial photo off Google Maps and Bing Maps, it looks like this is it.

The gable windows, the chimneys and the details on the roof above the entrance porch all appear to be the same.

Its Scotsgrove House on Scotsgrove Hill just outside of Thame, Oxon.
