thanks for the reply :D - That's right, and if I remember rightly it was a convict ship moving prisoners that got caught in a storm (or similar) and they all made for the diserted lighthouse - Dying to see it again now ! (no pun intended) - And yes a damn sight more thrilling than another churned ou...

the only one that comes to mind immediately is Ghost Ship - the blood starts to ooze in from the drainage pipes, etc.

The Lighthouse

Has anyone seen the above? It's a very good thriller (later 90's, early 00's?) and also stars Don Warrington of Rising Damp fame! - which unnerved me at first, but it showed me what a good straight actor he is too. I must peruse the internet to see if I can get it on DVD.

Theme Tune

Does anyone know if the hammer series theme tune is available on any album currently out there? I have it on a bad quality itunes download but that's about it, would love to get a clear version. I did see a classic hammer comedy album out there with on the buses, etc - just wondering about the serie...

Hi - the majority was filmed at Pontins Prestatyn and surrounding area - the pontins is still there and the area hasn't changed too much since Butler and co were there! You may find this link useful from the OTB Fanclub site...

ah that will explain my confusion too probably! A few times recently I was trying to access the site through a google search and was being re-directed to the tesco homepage - I was confused then, but then again I know shopping there is often a horror story!

Best all

yes I totally agree if they are to be new hammer episodes they have to stick to the traditional hammer formula. with the original series they were good at mixing the spooky / eerie traditions with the times that it was filmed - it worked really well. so if they could come up with some clever new sto...

thanks for the welcome! that would be great, just to see some actual NEW hammer releases on the box is enough to get the shivers down the spine! I must keep a close eye out for that. I've only just got the originals on DVD (finally!) so am currently enjoying them all over again (much to the fiancee'...

I'm nearly 30 so only 2 when the original series came out but remember watching some episodes at a friends house once and was hooked ever since - they simply do not make them like this anymore, mores the pitty, each episode a different classic in it's own right - very clever writers and actors - and...

Has anyone else heard of any whispers?! :)
