I saw an episode of this the other week, the first time I'd watched it in years, and the thing that leapt out at me was the quality of the cast; Leonard Rossiter, Frances de la Tour, Richard Beckinsale, Don Warrington, Peter Bowles. It has to have been the best acted sit-com there's ever been.

Plague of the Zombies

Any fans of Plague of the Zombies on here? I've always felt it's one of Hammer's best.

Here's the 2nd half of episode 6. I'm afraid the picture and sound qualty aren't great but the evil rocks are in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGs5hMSWfXE

Demons. ITV1 Saturday evenings.

It's been a huge disappointment from Day One. I mean, Gene Hunt fights monsters, how could that not work? Well, as it turns out, it could fail to work all too easily. This week's ep, about Mina's vampire son, was easily the best story of the ones we've seen so far but still delivered in a ham-fisted...

Hi

Hi. Just thought I'd say hello. I've been a Hammer fan since the good old days of Appointment with Fear on Friday/Saturday nights. It's nice to see there're forums out there dedicated to the great studio.

Quatermass and the Pit

Hi. Would I be alone on here in thinking that Quatermass and the Pit is the best film Hammer ever made and, if not, how do people rate their other Quatermass movies?

I think that's the only one from it that I can remember off the top of my head - unless there's a story in it featuring Christopher Lee with an evil child, in which case the Chris Lee one is my fave.

Depends when you saw it. If it was in the 1970s, it might be Escape into Night, which featured a young girl in a house surrounded by large rocks with eyes on them. I saw it as a kid and it really was genuinely creepy. It was based on a story called Marianne Dreams.
