I once saw a story about a guy who goes into a phone box and gets trapped and is unable to alert any passer by for help . I dont recall much more apart from the climax where the box is taken away , still with the guy inside and put in a place full of phone boxes with terrified people inside each one.
Also the faceless nun in the tower on the Tales of the unexpected story really terrified me , it appeared recently on a countdown of scary moments prog , and still i shuddered.

The 'man trapped in the phone box' story was called La Cabina - a short Spanish film made in 1972.
