Re: Twin Faces of Evil Farm - think I've found it.
Well I've been trying to find that farm for years, I spent hours scouring google earth and researching staddle barns in Buckinghamshire, all to no avail. I found out that it is not in fact a staddle barn, its too small and is in fact a game larder, these are mainly found in Scotland, so I surmised H...

Re: Series on the Horror Channel UK - Freeview in November 2
Yet again HHoH is on the FreeView Horror channel, this time last thing on Monday nights, which for me is surreal, I work at the House every Tuesday.

Drone flight over Hampden House
There's a fantastic video of the house from the air here...

Imagine the fun Hammer could have had if drones were around in the 1970s!

#2 sounds like something from 'The Witches of Eastwick' 1987. Though I vaguely remember an older horror movie where some of the characters have a devils' hoof instead of one foot.

Re: The "Carry on" films...
Carry on Screaming is my favourite, if you took out the comedy it would still be a very good Gothic horror movie.
'Do you mind if I smoke' has got to be one of the best visual gags ever, I so regret I never got to see it first time round at the cinema. The audience reaction must have been fantastic.

Re: Fawlty Towers
The disturbing thing about Fawlty Towers is how true to life it is. My wife used to be a hotel receptionist, the place had both a real life Sibil (different name though) and believe it or not a Manuel. He was the janitor in that hotel, once when nailing down a floorboard (with a six inch nail!) he h...

1970s Childrens Sci-Fi
I've just re-watched 'Children of the Stones' (1976) and it got me thinking, those of us lucky enough to be born in the mid 1960s were really spoiled when it came to Sci-Fi. There were loads of shows written specifically for children that didn't talk down to us or play to the lowest common denominat...

I love the one where Philip convinces Rigsby that an old chair leg is an African aphrodisiac stick and Rigsby light it and wafts it around Miss Jones. Hilarious.

Re: powerful scenes
I rather liked the opening (pre-title sequence) scene of Children of the Full Moon, where we see an innocent little girl playing and singing softly to herself, then see turns to camera revealing her blood soaked face where she's been feasting on a dead sheep! Really made me jump the first time.

Big Cats in The Silent Scream
I've often wondered who supplied and trained the rather large and dangerous looking big cats? Would it have been a specialist production company, or a Circus or Zoo?
