William Morton, son of scientist Terence and mother Laurie, suddenly dies after eating tablets found in his fathers home laboratory. The couple adopt a strange boy called James from a childrens home but when he comes to live with them odd things start to occur.

The location of the Mortons's house was Norcott Court Farm in Dudswell, Nr. Berkhampsted (Thanks to Mike Humprhey for spotting this one)
Although unverified it is highly likely that the interior shots are Hampden House
